In this aution you will find a rare vintage Thorens Lucky lift arm pocket lighter. It is hard find any information on this lighter. I believe this lighter predates the more common Thorens automatic lighters. My guess is that it is from the 1920’s or earlier. This beautifully made petrol/wick lighter features a chrome plated finish, a simple lift arm lighter mechanism, and a removable windscreen. The windscreen simply snaps in and out of place. The bottom of the lighter is marked: “THORENS – SWITZERLAND – FAB. SUISSE – LUCKY.” and it has a Belgian tax stamp on the bottom. This lighter is in excellent lightly used condition. There is some light surface scratching . The lift arm spring is nice and strong. The filler and flint screws are both intact. This lighter is in perfect working order; just add a flint and lighter fluid.
