Artist KARL LAGASSE
Karl Lagasse, born April 4, 1981 in Paris, is a French artist. He is the creator of the One Dollar sculpture as well as the trophy for the 43rd edition of the Deauville American Film Festival.
For the 65th anniversary of the Cannes Film Festival in 2012, he produced a “building” on which the attending artists, notably Cuba Gooding Jr, Matthew McConaughey and Zac Efron, signed. The French president personally congratulated him on his work.
In 2017, he created the trophy for the 43rd Deauville American Film Festival. The trophy was awarded to the winners Woody Harrelson, Jeff Goldblum, Michelle Rodriguez, Darren Aronofsky, Laura Dern and Robert Pattinson.
