Montblanc Meisterstück 149 fountain pen, made in Germany from precious resin with gold detailing, 12 cm long and 1.2 cm in diameter, piston-filler with ink window, in good used condition with signs of wear and age, and in working order.
Description from the seller
We present at auction a piece of extraordinary historical and collectible importance: a magnificent Montblanc Meisterstück 149 fountain pen, universally recognized as the undisputed queen of writing instruments. This specimen in particular represents one of the most sought-after and historic versions of the famous "Pluma," coveted by great connoisseurs around the world.
The body and cap are masterfully crafted in Montblanc's premium black resin, characterized by a deep gloss and adorned with elegant gold finishes. The cap’s central band bears the classic and iconic model identification engraving, while at the summit, the white six-pointed star stands out.
The heart of this masterpiece is the extraordinary two-tone solid gold nib (with historical engravings dedicated to the greatness of the model), paired with the traditional and efficient piston-filling system with a transparent window to monitor ink level.
The condition of this exemplar is to be considered generally good (well-used). In keeping with our usual and stringent policy of total transparency, we note widespread superficial signs of use and the wear of time accumulated on the resin and metal parts, which attest to the genuine history of this iconic instrument while preserving its absolute structural solidity and collectible charm.
