Lot of 2 S.T. Dupont Lighters - "Laque de Chine" (Chinese Lacquer) - Blue & Black - Working
Item Description
Splendid lot composed of two iconic lighters from the prestigious French house S.T. Dupont, both made with the authentic and rare Chinese Lacquer (Laque de Chine). These pieces represent the excellence of Parisian craftsmanship, combining the durability of precious metal with the depth of natural lacquer.
Lot Details:
• Sample 1 (Blue): Ligne 2 model (taller) in midnight blue lacquer with gold-plated finishes.
• Sample 2 (Black): Ligne 1 / Gatsby model in deep black lacquer with gold-plated finishes.
• Material: Both bear the authentic leaf ideogram symbol, certifying the use of genuine plant lacquer extracted from the lacquer tree.
• Technical Conditions: Both lighters are perfectly functional with signs of wear compatible with their age. The valves hold gas and the ignition mechanism is smooth and precise.
• Aesthetic Conditions: Good vintage condition. They show slight, normal signs of wear on the plating, typical of their age, which give character to the pieces without compromising their elegance. The lacquer is intact and free of cracks.
• Stampings: Original foundations with inscriptions "S.T. Dupont Paris - Made in France" and individually engraved serial numbers (BRY997 and U4FG27).
Additional Notes:
The lighters are sold without the original box and without documents. They will be shipped with appropriate protective packaging and via tracked and insured shipping.
