In this auction we present a true classic of formal elegance, a piece that perfectly embodies the luxurious and traditional aesthetics of the Hamburg maison: the Montblanc Meisterstück Solitaire Doué Gold & Black Ballpoint.
The term "Doué" in Montblanc nomenclature indicates the harmonious meeting of two noble materials. In this model, the lower barrel is made in the classic and highly resistant black glossy precious resin, while the cap is entirely gold-plated. What makes the cap design particularly sophisticated is the refined vertical ribbing (pinstripe pattern), which catches the light, creating elegant reflections and offering a very pleasant tactile sensation. To complete the two-tone contrast are the nib tip and the three classic gold-plated rings, along with the iconic white star on the top.
The operating mechanism is a continuous twist (twist), a solid and reliable system for extending the nib. The photos of the pen disassembled confirm the integrity of the robust brass threading and the presence of an original refill. The serial number is regularly engraved on the clip ring.
The condition is to be considered in excellent overall condition. The black resin of the barrel shows a very beautiful mirror-like polish, with rare and very light micro-scratches due to normal use.
