The work, written by Saint Bonaventure in 1260 (13th century) was approved as the official biography of Saint Francis of Assisi. In the book, besides the interest of the text on the life of the Saint, the richness of iconography and artistry stands out when depicting the main scenes of Saint Francis’s life, narratives full of anecdotes, legends and curiosities such as the healing of a blind man through much weeping, the silence of the birds of Venice, the aid to the poor, or the famous wounds or stigmata of the Saint.
A limited edition of 995 copies has been produced by Ars Magna Ediciones, S.L. As stated in the notarial act printed in the same copy.
