For sale an extraordinary and extremely rare collection set belonging to the famous Montblanc Writers Edition series, dedicated to Alexandre Dumas and released to the market in 1996.
This lot is the legendary and highly sought-after variant with the "wrong signature". Due to a production error, Montblanc inscribed on the cap the signature of the son (Alexandre Dumas fils) with the ascending flourish, rather than that of the father, author of The Three Musketeers. The lot was withdrawn from the market almost immediately, making these specimens rare and of the highest collecting interest.

Nib: Solid two-tone 18kt (750) gold nib finely decorated with the French fleur-de-lis.
Line: Fine (F) – Still bears the original paper sticker "F / Germany" on the barrel, testifying that the pen has never been used or inked.
