About the artist – Heinz Busch
Heinz Busch, born in 1962 in Aachen, developed from a young age a pronounced sensitivity to visual forms and artistic expression. Influential impressions came as early as preschool years through neogothic stained glass as well as the depiction of saintly figures between architectural elements in the village church. These early visual experiences became important impulses for his later engagement with art.
Another lasting impression was left by the live radio broadcast about the creation of “Ruhender Verkehr” by Wolf Vostell. The combination of art, everyday life, media and social reality early opened his view to the possibilities of contemporary art.
Later his artistic path led him to the venerable Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, where he could deepen his engagement with different artistic positions and forms of expression.
Busch's artistic development is thus shaped by very diverse influences—from sacred imagery and the architecture of historic stained glass to the experimental and media-related approaches of contemporary art.
A current exhibition of his works will be on view from September 2, 2026 at the Euskirchen Art Association.
