Frédéric Noy
Frédéric Noy is a French documentary photographer born in 1965. Self-taught, he discovered Africa in 1987 and has built a body of work based on long-term time, observation, and social chronicle. He has lived and worked notably in Tanzania, Nigeria, Sudan, Chad, Uganda, Kazakhstan, and more recently India.
His work is particularly recognized for Ekifire, devoted for several years to sexual minorities in East Africa, as well as for Lake Victoria Dying, about the environmental and social consequences of the degradation of Lake Victoria. This latter project earned him the Visa d’Or Magazine in Perpignan in 2019 and a distinction at World Press Photo 2020.
He is represented by Panos Pictures and his work has been published in numerous international media and presented notably at Visa pour l’Image.

This site offers prints from my personal collection featuring renowned "signatures", as well as prints entrusted to me by collectors for private sale. The proofs are mostly printed manually and using the silver process.
In 2019, with the creation of the Atelier/Galerie Taylor in Paris, I extend another way of the medium. Transmit, accompany and promote the work of photographers who are dear to me, both from the 20th century and more contemporary.
The images offered here touch me, challenge me, sometimes question, often inspire. Thank you to all those who have nourished my life path with their precious presence and support over the years and tomorrow!
