The square oil painting comes from Rudolf Draheim’s body of work “Panta Rhei.” The term, derived from Greek, means “Everything flows” and describes the idea of a world in a perpetual process of change.

The composition is defined by intense blues, greens and yellows, as well as individual red and dark color fields. Horizontal, partly smeared color gradients meet strong vertical forms and thickly applied areas. From this emerges an abstract, atmospheric pictorial landscape that oscillates between movement, spatial depth and color concentration.

Rudolf Draheim began painting in 1981 and in 1984 co-founded the Nalepa Gallery in Berlin. His works have been shown, among others, at the Münchhausen Museum in Bodenwerder, at the Georgian National Museum in Tbilisi, at the HeroAll Art Salon in Chengdu and at the Fetzer Gallery. Since 1997, works by the artist have been part of the Bundestag Art Collection. Other works are located, among others, in corporate and private collections.
