Description from the seller
Beautiful and atmospheric painting by Frans Manders (Helmond, 1939), an artist who is best known for his distinctive sense of light, color and atmosphere.
Manders studied at the Academy for Industrial Design in Eindhoven. In 1961 he began his career as a draftsman and later worked as a graphic designer and illustrator. After a successful exhibition of his watercolors and drawings in 1978, he decided to switch to independent artistry. In his early work, the traditional, unspoiled Brabant landscape was central. With these atmospheric depictions, Manders built a large reputation. This painting is a beautiful example of that and is characterized by the warm, atmospheric look that is so typical of Frans Manders’ body of work.
Dimensions: 80 x 100 cm
Dimensions with frame: 100 x 120 cm
