Model: K 100 RS
Registration year: 1985
Mileage: 96,000 km
Conditions: Mechanical ready to use, preserved aesthetics (fairings to repaint)
License plate: Original first registration with province CN (Cuneo).

Vehicle description:
We are auctioning an authentic piece of 1980s motorcycling history: the legendary BMW K100RS, renowned for its indestructible four-cylinder "flat" engine. This specimen represents an excellent opportunity for those seeking a solid and purely historical base, having remained entirely original and free from structural modifications. As visible in the extensive photo set, the fairings require a repaint due to normal signs of wear.

Technical conditions
Mechanical and engine: The famous 4-cylinder flat engine of 987 cc shows no leaks or abnormal fluidity. The motorbike starts immediately, runs and shifts regularly. Gearbox and clutch are smooth and precise in engagements.

Maintenance: Full service and works on the braking system performed at the end of May 2026. The brakes are ready to use and the discs are in excellent condition. Tires with clearly defined tread and still fully usable. The drive shaft is clean and leak-free.

Electrical system: Thoroughly checked and perfectly functional. Low and high beams, indicators, and rear stop light are operational. Digital clock on the dashboard working.

Documentation and equipment
Documents and plate: The motorbike is regularly registered in Italy and has its original first registration plate with province CN (Cuneo). Chassis number (OOO2235K10ORS) and the original BMW manufacturer's badge on the frame are legible.
Key set:
Complete set consisting of 5 keys total: 2 ignition keys (1 original BMW and 1 duplicate), 1 key for the locks of the panniers and hard cases, 2 keys for the steering lock safety.
Included accessories: Set of original BMW Touring hard side cases, rear top case original BMW, and a soft-era era tank bag.

Shipping and Pickup
Pickup: The lot is available exclusively for on-site pickup by the buyer (or via a specialized courier arranged by them and fully managed) at the location where the motorcycle is in Via Vivaro 21/A Alba (Province of Cuneo, Piedmont, Italy).
Note: The pickup point is Alba (CN), not Catania.
The ownership transfer or any deregistration procedures for export abroad are the sole responsibility of the buyer.

Disclaimer

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
