Description from the seller
Splendid Montblanc ballpoint pen from the prestigious Writers Edition series, dedicated in 2014 to the famous British author Daniel Defoe, father of "Robinson Crusoe." This limited edition is a true collectible that unites German artisanal excellence with a design that evokes adventure and the sea’s charm.
The body and cap are made of fine dark brown resin, with delicate veining and marbling that recall the wood of a boat and feathers, key elements in the story of Robinson Crusoe.
The finishes are in polished metal with intricate decorative work. The clip, inspired by a bird’s feather, is a design masterpiece. The cap ring is adorned with delicate engravings that evoke XVIII-century typography and nautical details.
The top end of the cap is crowned by the legendary Montblanc star emblem, a symbol of quality and prestige.
On the cap is elegantly engraved the signature of Daniel Defoe. The pen also bears the individual serial number, confirming its uniqueness.
The pen is in overall excellent condition. It has been used very little, only for occasional signatures. It has been kept with care. The aesthetics are splendid and the metal finishes are bright.
There is a tiny, almost imperceptible nick located just below the signature on the cap. It is so small that it’s difficult to capture clearly in photos, but for full transparency it is disclosed. It does not affect in any way the beauty or functionality of the writing instrument.
The Lot Includes:
The Montblanc Writers Edition Daniel Defoe ballpoint pen.
The original box, designed like an antique book with an illustrated cover.
The Montblanc original booklet and certificate of authenticity.
The merchandise is shipped within the European Union, and buyers outside the EU will have to pay taxes and customs duties in accordance with the law.
If the winning bidder decides to cancel/withdraw, they must bear the risks and costs of all shipments and import duties for the return; these costs are to be borne by the seller.
