Description from the seller
Oil on panel by the León-born painter Francisco López Pacho, known by the pseudonym GANCEDO (León, 1929). Trained as a draftsman and creator of artistic stained glass. He exhibited solo and group shows in Ponferrada, El Ferrol del Caudillo, León, Lugo, Orense, La Coruña and Pontevedra. Awarded an Honorable Mention at the Ponferrada Savings Bank (1968) and the Silver Medal of the Most Excellent Provincial Council of León (1968).
Sunset landscape with poplars in the foreground, warm palette of ochres, sienna and mauve, a semi-abstract style very characteristic of the author. Signed by hand 'Gancedo' in the lower left corner.
Provenance: private collection.
Documentation: includes the original authenticity certificate from Artexagono Internacional, S.A. (No. 26,789), which guarantees the authenticity of the work and the originality of the painter's signature.
Dimensions: 29 x 24 cm (panel, without frame). Framed in an antique wooden frame.
Condition: work in good overall condition, with no restorations. The wooden frame has a small defect (hole from a nail) at a point of the molding, visible in the photos.
Technique: oil on panel.
