Once she discovered the passion for painting, Lianne van der Plaat began training to become a realist fine painter. After the basic training she pursued various specializations, after which she increasingly specialized in painting still lifes.
Soon Lianne was invited to exhibit her work. Both solo exhibitions and joint exhibitions such as in the museum in Gorinchem where her work was shown alongside works by, among others, Ans Markus and Tjalf Sparnaay. Nationally and internationally her work was also seen at art fairs such as in Paris, at the Carrousel du Louvre.
