This beautiful, cold-painted table-top lighter (Streichfeuerzeug) was manufactured around 1900 by the renowned Austrian manufacturer Argentor-Werke from Vienna.
The figurine depicts an Oriental figure, dressed in richly detailed robes with a turban, executed in cold-painted zamak (white metal).
What makes this exemplar extra special is that it is 100% complete. The rare original striking mechanism/stem, which is lost on most examples on the market, is still present here after more than 120 years.
