John Lennon’s Iconic Psychedelic Rolls-Royce

A striking original colour photograph by British photographer Bill Zygmant, showing John Lennon’s famous psychedelic Rolls-Royce Phantom V.

The unmistakable Rolls-Royce was originally delivered to Lennon in 1965 and was transformed in 1967 with its extraordinary yellow paintwork, floral panels and psychedelic decoration. It became one of the most recognisable symbols of the Beatles era.

The car shown is Lennon’s famous Phantom V, registration FJB 111C, photographed here in the countryside.

The photograph is personally signed by Bill Zygmant, with “1968” also handwritten beside his signature.

Provenance

This photograph was personally given to me by Bill Zygmant himself.

I lived with Bill for a period of time and he personally gave me a number of his photographs and cameras before I subsequently helped repatriate him to the UK.
