Mark Kostabi (1960) - Domestic Bliss

Mark Kostabi- domestic bliss 2021
In the work, the classic faceless mannequin-like figures appear, a stylistic hallmark that Kostabi directly borrows from the metaphysical painting of Giorgio de Chirico.
The title ("Domestic Happiness") is reflected in the intimate complicity that binds the main couple.
Despite the apparent geometric coldness and impersonal stroke, the work conveys a sense of quiet closeness, protection, and emotional harmony within the daily, domestic dimension.
