Sigismund (Sigismund) of La Vida es Sueño
1975
Original etching on Arches paper, France, produced for the suite La Vida es Sueño, inspired by the famous work of Pedro Calderón de la Barca.
The composition presents at the top an elaborate architectural and literary structure accompanied by surrealist caligraphic elements, while in the lower zone there is a linear-drawn equestrian figure, characteristic of Dalí's graphic language. Dalí's signature incorporated into the plate.

Provenance: Enrique Sabater, friend and secretary of Salvador Dalí during his period of close collaboration with the artist, according to provenance provided by the owner.
An interesting example of Dalí's graphic production from the 1970s, particularly appealing for preserving intact the bifolio of the original edition and for its provenance.
