Walter Mesquita 1988 (Walter3dart) - Terra n° 1 "Gaia"

Earth, viewed from nowhere and everywhere.
This relief captures that unique vertigo: continents of matter emerge, frozen atmospheric currents cross the surface, a whole planet hand-sculpted.
What makes this work truly exceptional is its entirely handmade creation process, from the first to the last gesture.
There is no painting here. Not a single drop of artificial color. What you see is born only from colored clay, worked, layered and sculpted until revealing its own natural palette.
The frame itself is a unique creation: handmade, with custom measurements designed exclusively for this work. An inner shadow of 2 centimeters creates additional depth, giving the painting the impression of floating in space, like the Earth itself in the darkness of the universe.
Every centimeter of this work is the result of a human gesture, an artistic decision, infinite patience.
A fragment of our world, suspended in time.

Artist Walter MESQUITA (Walter3dart) Swiss nationality, born in 1988.

Toward the end of 2024, something inside me went out of balance. Connections that stir without warning, intense sensations, diffuse pains, dizziness that bursts forth without warning. An inner chaos I could not control. It is in this imbalance that creation imposed itself on me. I needed a language that does not pass through words.
Abstract sculpture became that language. Each relief, each flash of color, each tormented material is an attempt to translate what is happening inside, an invisible, raw energy that I finally render tangible between my hands.
