Surreal bronze sculpture – Edition 21/35 – Lost-wax casting

Singular sculpture titled “Building of Eyes”, cast in bronze using the traditional lost-wax casting technique, part of a limited edition of 35 copies, this piece being number 21/35.

The work develops a striking architectural and surreal composition in which a large vertical structure appears covered by a rhythmic sequence of eyes in relief, creating a powerful sense of vigilance, mystery and dreamlike atmosphere. At the lower area, a small building and a stylized streetlamp introduce an urban reference that reinforces the monumental and imaginary scale of the edifice.

Notably, the richness of the modelling stands out, with a deliberately textured surface, marked by reliefs, incisions and different bronze treatments that provide depth and expressive strength. The piece features an attractive patina in green, bluish and brown tones, especially effective in highlighting the volumes and the fantastical character of the composition.

The reverse preserves the textures inherent to the casting process and shows marks and incisions, visible in the photographs. The sculpture integrates with its own architectural base, forming a set of great decorative and sculptural presence.
