Golia Eugenio Colmo (1885-1967) - Sconosciuta

He was born in Turin in 1885 and was a painter, graphic illustrator, fashion designer, caricaturist, and Italian ceramist. He spent his life almost exclusively in Garessio, in the province of Cuneo. His elder brother was Giovanni, also a painter. He pursued classical studies at the "Cavour", where he had as a classmate Guido Gozzano, who coined the nickname "Golia" (Goliath) because of his notable stature. In Paris in 1925 he participated in the International Exhibition of Decorative Arts, where he was awarded a gold medal. He worked in the field of graphics and collaborated with La Gazzetta del Popolo, La Stampa, and L’Illuminazione Italiana. He lived a few years in Turin, where he died on September 15, 1967.
