In this vertical format, Medsan shows the profile of a young woman facing to the right, eyes closed, chin barely raised. Her face blends with a summer field: where the hair and the neck would be, a ripe wheat field stretches out, the ears of grain rising diagonally up to the cheek, where two large-open poppies and a scattering of red petals rest under the cheekbone.
Higher up, a horizon line crosses the head: an isolated oak with dark green foliage rises at the edge of a clear path, between low shrubs. Above, in a milky white sky, three hot air balloons rise — a large cream-and-brown striped one, a small pale one set back, a third orange and blue — while swallows streak to the left.
