Montblanc Meisterstück Classique 165 mechanical pencil in black precious resin with gold-plated detailing, serial KM1271304, made in Germany, dating to the late 20th century, with a 12 cm length and 1.2 cm diameter, in excellent working order and condition.
Description from the seller
We present at auction an authentic icon of timeless elegance: the Montblanc Meisterstück Classique Portemine (model 165), characterized by a refined combination of black resin and gold details. This sophisticated writing instrument perfectly embodies the essence of the famous German maison, offering a design with universal charm and uncompromising mechanical reliability, ideal to accompany your notes or drawings with maximum precision.
The body and cap are masterfully crafted in the celebrated black precious resin Montblanc, whose smooth, deeply glossy surface creates a magnificent and luxurious contrast with the bright solid gold-plated metal details. The aesthetics are defined by the classic elegance of the slanted clip and the three unmistakable gold rings, of which the central, thicker one bears the crisp engraving of the brand name. On the rounded top of the cap stands the pristine six-pointed white star, a universal symbol of prestige and artisanal craftsmanship. On the upper ring of the clip, the individual serial number is regularly engraved.
Technically, this prestigious specimen is configured as a pencil with a continuous click mechanism, a smooth and precise mechanism activated by the classic rotation of the cap, designed to house leads with a fine and elegant stroke. The photos showing the portamine disassembled reveal the perfect integrity of the solid metal inner structure, the cleanliness of the reservoir assembly, and the presence of the small eraser tucked under the cap.
The conservation state of this fascinating instrument is to be considered in excellent overall condition. The precious resin appears magnificently glossy and free of deep scratches, displaying only microscopic and normal superficial signs due to ordinary, careful, and respectful handling. The sparkling gold finishes are bright and perfectly preserved, free of oxidation or evident wear.
