A splendid Les Paul, elegant, powerful and surprisingly versatile.
Beautiful Epiphone Les Paul Standard Pro, a guitar that immediately strikes with its classic, elegant aesthetics and, above all, delivers a voice of great character.
The stunning Sunburst finish, with its amber gradients and darker edge, magnificently enhances the top and gives the instrument that unmistakable look of a true Les Paul.
The guitar has been carefully cleaned, polished and checked, with particular attention paid to the body, plastics, tuners, bridge and all hardware. It is therefore perfectly functional and ready to play.
A really interesting package
The strength, of course, lies in the pair of ProBucker humbuckers, pickups capable of delivering that big, warm and dynamic sound you expect from a Les Paul, with good definition and a particularly pleasant response both on clean tones and when the amp is driven.
But this Standard Pro has something more.
Both volume controls are Push/Pull and allow coil-splitting of the respective humbuckers.
In practice, with a simple gesture you can switch from the classic full, rich humbucker sound to a more open, bright and aggressive tone, approaching the character of a single coil.
A versatility that makes this Les Paul suitable for an infinite number of genres and situations: blues, rock, hard rock, classic rock, pop, up to more modern tones.
And above all… how does it sound?
It’s one of those guitars that, once plugged into an amplifier, surprises you.
The sound is full, rich, resonant and with that characteristic Les Paul response that easily yields sustain, crunch and very musical distortions.
The sonic quality is absolutely worthy of being compared with instruments in a higher tier, especially considering the ProBucker setup and the ability to split both humbuckers.
It isn’t just a beautiful guitar to look at: it’s an instrument with a true sonic personality.
Conditions
The guitar is perfectly functional, sounds correctly in all configurations and has undergone careful cleaning and polishing.
There is only a tiny ding on the lower edge of the body, very small in size and completely stable. It has no structural issue nor does it affect playability, functionality or tone in the slightest.
The luthier chose not to perform any repair work due to the minimal nature of the mark, avoiding a touch-up that would have been more invasive than the flaw itself (see photo).
A purely aesthetic detail, therefore, which I report with maximum transparency.
The case is a real added value
The guitar also comes with a beautiful brown leather hard case, elegant and refined, with a fully lined soft protective interior.
The color pairing with the Les Paul is simply magnificent: brown and sunburst create a visually extremely classic and refined ensemble.
A case that has not only a practical function, but truly completes the instrument’s aesthetics.
