Emil Chonowitsch (1914–1996) was one of the most influential Danish pipe makers in the Danish classical style. His active period spanned from the 1960s into the early 1990s. He gained international recognition for handmade pipes that are characterized by a timeless, noble design and outstanding craftsmanship.
The designs of Emil Chonowitsch reflect a restrained Danish nobility. He remained true to the classical forms such as billiard, Canadian, or Bulldog throughout his life, which he interpreted as slim, tall, and with softly bevelled edges. He almost never built asymmetric Freehand models.

The pipe has been treated with great care, is cleaned and disinfected. Without a filter chamber. The pipe is relatively dark; the flash lightened it a bit. Original mouthpiece without bite marks.

Measurements: Length 13.6 cm, head height 6 cm, tobacco chamber 20 mm. Top condition, little used!
