Gabriele Perugini was born in Barchi (Pesaro) in 1940, he moved to Florence in 1958 to complete his studies, attends the master course in the sculpture section of the State Institute of Art under the guidance of masters Bruno Innocenti and Giulio Porcinai. From 1965 to 1997 he taught, in the same institute, plastic disciplines and sculpture. He is a member for the sculpture class of the Academy of Arts and Drawing of Florence. To his credit eighteen solo exhibitions, held in various Italian cities. Countless are the participations from 1965 to today in competitions, sculpture symposia national and international, reviews, itinerant and collective exhibitions in Italy and abroad. He achieves flattering results, important recognitions, publications of catalogs, prizes, acquisitions in public and private collections. Among the most significant sculpture symposia both for the catalog and for the excellent placement of the work executed, the following are highlighted: City of Pusan (South Korea, 1992) with a stone work placed in Olympic Park. Caldas da Rainha (Portugal, 1994) published in catalog, with a stone work [...] Carrara (1997) [...] in 1999 at Fort San Giuliano in Genoa, provincial headquarters of the Carabinieri Barracks, as a monument to the fallen of the Force. [...] Florence (1990) on the occasion of the World Cup, he creates for the Municipality a reinforced concrete stele, white and gray, with a cascade of bronze elements, placed at the eastern entrance of the city in the locality S. Andrea a Rovezzano. In 2003 the monograph "Organicità Geometrica - Geometricità Organica" is published, presented by Francesco Guerrieri.
