Knockdhu 21 years old - Original Bottling - b. 1999 - 70cl

A 21 year old single malt from Knockdhu Distillery, distilled in 1999. Knockdhu is a traditional Highland distillery founded in 1894 near the village of Knock in Aberdeenshire.

An interesting detail about the distillery is that its official single malt has been marketed under the name anCnoc since the 1990s, in order to avoid confusion with Knockando Distillery. Independent bottlings, however, can still be found carrying the Knockdhu distillery name.

With 21 years of maturation and a 1999 vintage, this is a well-aged example from a distillery whose older, independently bottled releases are seen considerably less often than its official anCnoc expressions.

An interesting bottle for enthusiasts of mature Highland whisky and lesser-seen distillery bottlings.
