Two Aurora writing instruments left sealed in their boxes for thirty years: the deep green lacquer rollerball and the black lacquer pencil, both with gold finishes.

Aurora is the oldest Italian manufacturer of writing instruments: born in Turin in 1919, it is the only house in the world that still today produces in-house every component of its pens, nib included. The Ipsilon line, with its tapered profile and the teardrop clip that has become a hallmark of the brand, has for decades represented Italian elegance in its most essential and recognizable form.

This lot brings together two pieces from the same family, complementary to each other:

PEN ROLLER — body and cap in deep green lacquer, with a depth that looks almost emerald under light. Gold finishes: shiny teardrop clip, double band on the cap with the inscription "AURORA ITALY", contrasting black tip and head. The classic Ipsilon format, balanced in the hand and perfect for daily use as well as for the desk.

PENCIL — same profile, in glossy black lacquer with identical gold finishes. Intact and perfectly functioning mechanism.

The green and black pairing, typical of Aurora production in those years, is now difficult to reconstruct: the two pieces come from the same original warehouse stock and have remained together since always.

CONDITION
New Old Stock (NOS): never used, never marketed to the public, kept away from light. Inks are intact and brilliant, full gilding without wear or oxidation, no scratches or writing marks. The pencil has never been loaded. Pristine, as they left the factory.

Each piece is complete with its own original rigid Aurora box with velvet lining, the serigraphed lid "AURORA — made in Italy" and the original pendent tag still attached. The boxes show only minimal archival traces typical of storage.

Finding today a complete Aurora set, never used, with both boxes and the original tags, is far from common: most pieces in circulation have been used, restocked, or lost their packaging. An ideal entry into Aurora collecting, and a gift idea that is sure to impress."
