An extraordinary and iconic work by Mario Schifano (1934–1998), one of the absolute pioneers of European Pop Art and the Piazza del Popolo School. This work, set within an elegant white-framed border, belongs to his famous and highly sought-after series of "Tele/Foto Computerizzate"—hand-retouched photographs taken from television screens. Schifano isolates a transient media image, transforming an ephemeral TV broadcast into a lyrical and permanent artistic statement through dynamic and energetic strokes of colored enamel. A conceptually powerful work, museum-worthy, that perfectly reflects Schifano's obsession with contemporary media and visual flows.
