'The Three Dancers' is a large oil painting by Pablo Picasso. The dancer on the right is believed to be Ramon Pichot, a fellow artist and friend of Picasso who had unfortunately passed away. The figure on the left is thought to be Pichot's wife Germaine Gargallo, and the dancer in the middle represents his friend Carlos Casagemas, who took his own life before Pichot's death. The painting shows an emotionally charged portrayal of the love triangle. The bodily distortions and irrational composition of the painting are an example of Picasso's early experiments with surrealism.
