Offered for auction is a classic Montblanc Meisterstück 146 LeGrand fountain pen, one of Montblanc’s most recognisable and enduring writing instruments.

The pen features the traditional black body complemented by gold-tone fittings, the iconic white Montblanc emblem on the cap top, and the characteristic Meisterstück triple-ring cap design.

The fountain pen is fitted with a Montblanc 14K / 585 gold nib, clearly displaying the Montblanc emblem and 4810 engraving.

The cap band is engraved “MONTBLANC – MEISTERSTÜCK”, while the clip ring carries an individual serial number and is also visibly marked “GERMANY.”

This example shows clear signs of previous use and age, particularly on the gold-tone fittings. The close-up photographs have intentionally been provided to clearly document the condition.

The pen measures approximately 145.2 mm when capped, with a cap diameter of approximately 15.0 mm, as shown in the photographs.

Condition

The pen is presented in pre-owned vintage condition.

There are visible signs of previous use and age, including surface marks, scratches and wear to the black body and metal fittings. The gold-tone trim shows noticeable age-related wear, discolouration/patina and surface marking, particularly around the clip and cap fittings.
