Suzuki Shōnen, "Tiger Gorge Three Laughs" — A figure from the 1891 edition of The Capital’s Brocade, a polychrome woodcut, 24 × 32 cm
This is a figure painting based on the Chinese tale of the Three Laughs at Tiger Gorge. The story tells how Huiyuan, while bidding farewell to Tao Yuanming and Lu Xiujing who had come to visit, crossed Tiger Gorge which he had resolved not to cross in his conversation, and the three of them laughed together.
