Magnificent piece of Stray-Nos art where we recognize here all the symbolic power and provocative finesse of its universe: luxury, memory and the myth twisted into a sculpture that is both ironic and poetic.

This work distorts the iconic bag to transform it into a scenographic architecture. The utilitarian object becomes a monumental display case, almost a chapel dedicated to the myth of couture.
"Karl in the Light" — Art Stray-Nos

At the border between sculpture, détourned object and light installation, Art Stray-Nos transforms the iconic quilted bag silhouette into a true display case of light.

The golden surface, worked with a deliberately textured and almost sculptural finish, twists the classical codes of luxury. The padding becomes relief, the black and gold chain accentuates the curves of the piece, while the whole preserves an aesthetic that is at once precious, raw, and contemporary.

But it is when the light turns on that the work truly reveals its second identity.

Placed at the heart of the bag, a luminous bottle emerges like a work within a work. The integrated LEDs diffuse their light through the bottle and highlight a graphic composition devoted to Karl Lagerfeld: black-and-white portrait, iconic glasses, pop touches, graffiti, Parisian references and golden details overlap in a universe blending haute couture and street art.

Thus the bag becomes a luminous showcase, almost a small contemporary altar dedicated to fashion. The interior lighting creates a spectacular contrast with the patinated gold on the exterior and gives Karl’s portrait a particular presence.
