Anton Heyboer, untitled abstract portrait, hand-signed original etching in mixed technique from 1985, 70 × 50 cm, Netherlands.
Description from the seller
Beautiful, characteristic and monumental etching by the renowned Dutch artist Anton Heyboer, obtained directly from the artist himself in Den Ilp.
This 1985 work shows Heyboer’s iconic and raw visual language with the handwritten English texts "The choice in life" and "Find out how from...". The etching has been enriched by the artist with manually applied brown-red color accents (mixed technique), making each copy unique.
• Technique: Etching / Eigendruk, hand-colored
• Signature: Fully signed in the plate. Also at the bottom hand-signed in pencil by the artist: "eigen druk" and "printed anton heyboer".
• Condition: The work is in good, authentic condition. The paper shows at the extreme edges a slight, natural yellowing/paper age inherent to the material used by Heyboer. This can be completely removed when framing with a mat, if desired, and does not detract from the artistic strength of the etching. See photos for an accurate impression
