Brief biography of the author:

Master Athos Faccincani was born in Peschiera del Garda on January 29, 1951.
In the years ’63 - ’64, still a teenager, he began attending the studio of Master Pio Semeghini.
He later attended technical schools and became increasingly present, around the years ’67 - ’69, in the Venetian studios of Novati, Gamba, and Seibezzi.
Also in this period, he met Ottorino Garosio and Angelo Fiessi in Brescia.
In 1970, after finishing his studies, the young Athos devoted himself to horseback riding with great enthusiasm and, at the same time, to painting, fraternally helped by Nantas Salvalaggio.
In those years his observant, now disillusioned spirit confronted the first painful impact with social reality and its problems.
At the end of the 1970s, Athos faced the most important work of his early career: he was commissioned a show on the Resistance. His solo exhibitions drew visits from the President of the Republic, Sandro Pertini.
In 1980, after a path rich in artistic and literary events, he began a period of inner regeneration and reconstruction, with a rapid shift from figurative to landscape painting.
Attention inexorably turned to nature, which Faccincani loves in its sacred totality, becoming his sole model.
There was a radical change in his existential and stylistic approach, moving to images of clear impressionistic derivation, with pure, vivid colors, aimed at the cultural motivations of the 2000s: light, sun, and simple storytelling.
With his art, Athos Faccincani has captivated the public and critics; his works are in the homes of Hollywood stars as well as in the homes of those who must draw on their savings to afford a Faccincani.
He has exhibited, besides in Italy’s most beautiful places, in London, Vienna, Paris, Chicago, New York, Zurich, Madrid, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Hamburg, Munich, Tokyo, Monte Carlo, Sofia, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
Countless are the recognitions he has received during his forty-year career, among the latest in Rome as European Personality, in Ischia the Ischia Friends award, and in Naples the Albatros prize.
Athos Faccincani is a painter who in his works favors landscapes depicting lush, thriving nature.
The style is nearly impressionist, the colors are bright. Each painting repeats the same guidelines: the high sun, the light, and simple storytelling.
This video tells of his choice to paint in the Park and illustrates the subjects chosen: the Hermitage, the Rose Avenue, the Flowering Ponds, the Lined with Poplars Avenue, the Aquatic Gardens, and the ancient woods of the Garden.
