ROAD TO SPACE
With Road to Space, SKE imagines an unlikely meeting between several icons of popular culture and luxury: Snoopy, space exploration, Omega watchmaking and the Porsche universe.
At the center of the composition, Snoopy becomes an astronaut while a Porsche 911 seems ready to leave the road and join space. Around it, references to NASA, road signage, rocket, Earth and details inspired by the space universe build a dense, colorful scene, between Pop Art, automotive, and watchmaking culture.
The very form of the artwork echoes the codes of a large chronograph watch: black tachymeter-style bezel, raised index, hands and dial entirely reinterpreted by SKE. An obvious nod to the history of Omega and the lunar conquest, here diverted into a more pop and contemporary universe.
Road to Space thus plays with several objects of desire that have become cult: the watch, the Porsche, Snoopy and space exploration. References from different worlds brought together in a single piece, like a condensate of memories, speed and dream.

SKE is a self-taught French artist with a versatile background who has been immersed in 80s/90s culture, inspiring a large majority of his artistic works.
He constantly explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stenciling, graffiti, urban installations and digital art. His dynamic and expressive compositions, often with a double reading, blend the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art.
