Tal R (born 1967 as Tal Rosenzweig) is an internationally known Danish artist. His unmistakable visual language combines elements from Expressionism, Fauvism, Symbolism, Art Brut and popular culture. He often draws on everyday motifs, figures, interiors and objects, transforming them into color-intensive, deliberately idiosyncratic compositions.
In addition to painting, Tal R’s versatile oeuvre includes drawings, prints, collages and sculpture. Particularly his graphic works clearly show his characteristic fusion of strong color, simplified form and narrative openness.
