Description from the seller
5-watt Class A boutique head (equivalent to 25 watts tube) fully valve, hand-built by a small artisanal producer in extremely limited numbers. The elegant cabinet is clad in real tweed, relic’d specifically to resemble the old Fenders with 50 years of honorable service. It has chromed corner guards, rubber feet, and a genuine leather handle. The “chicken head knobs” simply control volume and tone. It is based on the glorious Fender Princeton (5F2-A) circuit and hand-wired, point-to-point; it features 3 Sylvania NOS tubes (Made in USA), a 12AX7 for gain, a 6V6 output, and a 6Z4 rectifier—a rarity among amplifiers of this wattage that plays a key role in delivering wonderfully vintage tone. The speaker output is 8 ohms. The head is elegant and refined in appearance, as warm and melodic in sound. At moderate volume it sounds clean and detailed, with the bass frequencies well controlled and the mid-highs rounded and never sharp; as soon as you push the volume a bit (even at completely home-friendly levels) the sound unleashes a marvelous crunch, warm, fat, and rounded, typical of the small tube amplifiers that have written the history of music.
