The concise phrase is carved in plain black typography on a résopal board. The deliberately restrained design is characteristic of Holzer’s text-based art, where language itself becomes the artistic medium. In just a few words, “PROTECT ME FROM WHAT I WANT” explores the tension between desire, power, consumption, self-determination, and vulnerability.
