Montblanc - StarWalker Black Mystery - Pen

Here we present a exemplar of exquisitely modern and technological charm, belonging to one of the most iconic and bold collections of the Hamburg house: the Montblanc StarWalker Black Mystery Fountain Pen.

The design of this writing instrument breaks the classic schemes thanks to an innovative surface. The body is adorned with an intricate geometric pattern laser-engraved, creating a play of lines and rectangles with strong visual and tactile impact. This contemporary workmanship is enhanced by the contrast with platinum-plated finishes, mirror-polished, present on the characteristic clip with an aerodynamic profile and on the smooth grip section. To seal the StarWalker line's identity, we find the famous transparent cap cone at the top, inside which the emblem of the white Montblanc star floats magically.

The heart of this fountain pen is its excellent writing nib group: by unscrewing the cap, a beautiful 14-carat solid gold nib (Au585) is revealed. To maintain perfect color harmony with the pen finishes, the nib has undergone a rhodium bath that gives it an elegant silvery shade, and it is finely engraved with the Montblanc logo. The filling system is cartridge-based.

Regarding its condition, the item presents in generally good condition but requires an important aesthetic clarification. The shaft, the grip, and the precious 14K gold nib are in excellent condition and perfectly ready for use. However, as documented with extreme transparency in the last three detail photographs, the cap has damage. A chip/repair is visible in the black resin positioned laterally, right near where the clip attaches. This defect is strictly cosmetic and does not in any way compromise the cap’s screw closure or the pen’s mechanical writing functionality.
