“Fishing Village” is a 100 × 70 cm painting by contemporary artist Ernest García.

The work builds a bright Mediterranean scene viewed from inside a house. Two large blue doors, opened, frame the view toward a small coastal village of white houses with reddish roofs, situated beside a intensely blue sea. In the distance, a small sailboat introduces a point of movement and depth to the landscape.
In the foreground, terracotta pots, vegetation, and the tranquil figure of a cat turn the balcony into an intimate space from which to observe the exterior. The composition thus plays with the relationship between interior and landscape, using the doors as a frame within the painting itself and guiding the gaze from the illuminated floor toward the horizon.
