Description from the seller
A0000004352
Fountain Pen Armando Simoni Club Bologna Medio ("Arancio"): We present at auction an imposing high-end creation from Armando Simoni Club. This contemporary signature was born with a clear purpose: to rescue and elevate the legendary legacy of quality, design, and celluloids of the historic Italian house OMAS. The model name itself, "Bologna," pays tribute to the city where the mythical original brand was born.
This piece immediately captivates with its dazzling body in color "Arancio" (a deep, vibrant orange), elegantly contrasted by its majestic gold hardware. At the base of the cap, a thick band decorated with the classic Greek key motif, an unmistakable hallmark of the great Italian fountain pens.
Unlike entry-level models, this Bologna Medio features a sophisticated integrated piston-filling system (piston filler), operated from the cap butt, guaranteeing a large ink capacity. The nib is richly engraved with the intricate geometric pattern of arches characteristic of ASC, finished with the mark of its Fine point (F), offering a superlative writing experience.
Condition (Expert Review)
The fountain pen is in excellent aesthetic and functional condition:
Body and Cap: The material maintains a flawless mirror polish, with no marks, cracks, or deformations.
Metalwork: The generous clip and the ring with the Italian greca preserve a vibrant, gleaming gold.
Nib: 14k gold nib in perfect structural condition, with the tines correctly aligned.
Mechanism: The internal piston turns with the appropriate resistance and smoothness.
(Please view the photo gallery in detail to appreciate the spectacular Arancio color and the fine engravings on the gold nib).
Shipping
The item will be carefully protected and packed, with an international tracking number.
Wishing very good luck to all bidders with this superb and exclusive jewel of the new Italian High Watchmaking and Writing!
