Elegant vintage writing set composed of a fountain pen and a mechanical pencil in a carrying case.
Produced in Italy between the late 1930s and the 1950s under the historic Zenith extra brand. This line of excellence represents one of the most fascinating chapters of the historic Montegrappa craftsmanship from Bassano del Grappa.
The parure is presented in its very rare original period rigid case covered in brown simulated leather with a shaped interior in fabric.
The complete set increases the historical and collectible value of the lot.
Two-tone design in glossy black resin and a sumptuous cap laminated in 18 Kt gold with a fine geometric pattern typical of Italian luxury artisanal craftsmanship of the period.
The fountain pen is fitted with the original 14 Kt gold nib with 585/1000 assay.
Nibs of this era are renowned for flexibility and pleasant writing feel.
The coordinated pencil mirrors the pen’s lines with a clip and advancing button.
The set is sold as untested despite the excellent condition of the structure, clearly visible in the photos.
