Description from the seller
Refined Murano Glass Centerpiece, Submerged Turquoise Opalescent - 1950s/1960s
Elegant sculptural centerpiece in heavy glass, molded in the shape of a soft and sinuous "boat" with organic profiles. The body of the object is dominated by a vibrant turquoise and aquamarine color with warm yellow tones, framed by a massive twisted edge in opalescent white glass. This is a splendid creation made in Murano during the golden age of design in the 1950s and 1960s.
The piece is a refined example of Murano glassmaking mastery of the era: created with the submerged glass technique, it features an extremely reflective surface and a fascinating iridescent effect that changes color and intensity depending on the angle and ambient light. The thick crystal encloses inside a luminous swirling chromatic soul, characterized by soft and fluid gradations. The enveloping line emphasizes the purity of the material and the great complexity of hot-work shaping.
A classy home accessory, ideal for 20th-century art glass collectors and for enriching refined interiors.
