For sale is a fascinating piece of IT history: an original core memory board (Core Memory) from the company EMM (Electronic Memories & Magnetics Corporation) from the 1970s.

Core memory of this type were the main memory technology of the early minicomputer- and mainframe-era before being replaced by semiconductor RAM. Each bit storage point consists of tiny, hand-woven ferrite rings!
