Description from the seller
Montblanc – Meisterstück No. 149 – 14K (585) two-tone gold nib – Fountain pen
Montblanc Meisterstück No. 149 fountain pen, flagship model of the house, made in Germany. Vintage specimen dated to the 1970s – early 1980s based on three concordant elements: the 14-carat gold nib, replaced by 18-carat in the early 1990s; the marking "GERMANY" on the band at the cap mouth, preceding the wording "W.-GERMANY" introduced toward the mid-1980s; the absence of a serial number on the clip, which appeared again in the early 1990s.
Body and cap in glossy black resin, gold-plated finishes. Central cap band engraved "MONTBLANC – MEISTERSTÜCK No. 149", emblem of the white star on the top. Piston-filling, ebonite feed, striped ink window.
Bicolor 14K gold nib, engraved "4810 – 14C – MONTBLANC – 585", rhodium-plated mask and swirled engravings. The nib width is not marked, as per Montblanc practice for this model: refer to close-up photographs.
Dimensions: 147.3 mm closed, maximum diameter 16.0 mm.
Comes with: original Montblanc cardboard box with velvet-lined interior, warranty cards, an instruction sheet for filling, and the original Montblanc envelope.
Condition: very good used condition. Resin intact, free of cracks, chips or bite marks. Gold finishes without obvious wear. No engravings or personalization. Clean and functional, tested only with distilled water — sold as is.
The photographs are an integral part of the description. Insured shipment with tracking.
