Born in 1984 in Thanh Hoa, Vietnam, lives and works in Hanoi
Originating from Thanh Hoa province, located 150 km south of Hanoi, Hoang Anh belongs to this pivotal generation of Vietnamese artists (the “8x” generation) which combines cultural heritage and contemporary abstraction. A graduate of the Vietnam University of Fine Arts, he has established himself on Hanoi’s art scene with a bold approach to material and color.

Hoang Anh’s work is distinguished by an intense exploration of texture and movement. Although he explores varied themes such as landscapes, nature, and the female form, it is in abstraction that he reveals his full expressive power:
