Magnificent Sheaffer Intrigue set consisting of fountain pen and matching ballpoint, kept in excellent general condition. The chrome and gunmetal metallic finish maintains a deep, uniform shine, with only light signs of superficial use typical of careful preservation and the passage of time, without significant dents or structural deformations.

The fountain pen retains one of the collection's most emblematic elements: its spectacular inlaid nib in white gold 14K / 585, made in the USA, in size M (Medium). The nib is clean, properly aligned, and operational, offering also the aerodynamic and futuristic aesthetic characteristic of the Intrigue series.

The original Sheaffer filling system remains complete and functional. This model incorporates the well-known 'captive converter' system, an integrated converter built into the pen body, developed specifically for the Intrigue line. Unlike traditional removable converters, the mechanism is permanently integrated inside the fountain pen, preserving the clean and continuous look of the design.

The operation of the system is performed by partially unscrewing the rear grip, exposing a small internal metal knob that actuates the converter piston. When turned with the nib submerged in ink, the system draws the charge into the internal reservoir. This is a sophisticated and uncommon technical solution, highly appreciated today by collectors and Sheaffer enthusiasts due to its manufacturing complexity and mechanical uniqueness.

The matching ballpoint maintains excellent aesthetic presence and proper functioning of its twisting mechanism.
