Offered for auction is an elegant Montblanc Marlene Dietrich Special Edition Fountain Pen, created as part of Montblanc’s tribute to the legendary actress and style icon Marlene Dietrich.

The pen features a sophisticated black body complemented by platinum-tone fittings and distinctive design details associated with the Marlene Dietrich Special Edition. The cap features an elegant elongated clip, while the cap top is finished with a beautiful mother-of-pearl Montblanc emblem.

The fountain pen is fitted with a Montblanc 18K / 750 gold nib, displaying the Montblanc emblem and traditional 4810 engraving.

The pen measures approximately 143.9 mm when capped, with a diameter of approximately 12.5 mm, as documented in the photographs.

The pen is accompanied by its original Montblanc presentation box and Marlene Dietrich International Service Certificate/documentation. The original box label identifies the piece as the Marlene Dietrich Special Edition Fountain Pen M.

Serial Number / Documentation Note

The individual serial number engraved on the pen is IR2634501, and this corresponds with the serial/barcode information on the original Montblanc box.

Please note that there is a slight discrepancy in the serial number handwritten in the accompanying warranty/service booklet. According to the previous owner, the authorised retailer made a manual error when completing the booklet at the time of purchase.

More specifically, the 2nd letter, the 3rd number and the 2nd-to-last number differ on the handwritten booklet compared with the serial number on the pen and original box. The remaining characters are the same and in the same sequence.

Importantly, the serial number physically engraved on the pen matches the serial number on the original Montblanc box. Given that the remainder of the handwritten number corresponds, the discrepancy is consistent with a manual transcription/entry error when the booklet was completed.

This discrepancy is fully disclosed for transparency, and photographs of the pen's serial number, original box label and warranty/service documentation are included so bidders can inspect and compare them directly.
